We believe in one God who is the creator of all things. He is one God, yet exists in three separate persons, The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the creator, sustainer, redeemer, and ruler. God is all-knowing, all powerful, and everywhere present. He accomplishes anything that He wills while completely remaining holy, just, and righteous.
Genesis 1:1-2, Psalm 19:1-3, Jeremiah 10:10, 1 Timothy 1:17, Isaiah 7:14, Galatians 4:4-5, Titus 2:13-14, Matthew 1:18, Mark 1:10, 1 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 9:8
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Concieved by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary, Jesus was fully God, yet fully man. He lived a sinless life and was crucified on a cross for the sins of the world. Jesus rose again, according to the scriptures and ascended into Heaven where He is now seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe Jesus Christ will return again also according to the scriptures.
Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 53:1-12, Matthew 8:29, Romans 1:3-4, Acts 1:9, Hebrews 1:1-3, Revelation 1:13-16
We believe the Bible, Old and New Testament, is the only inspired inerrent word of God. God divinely inspired certain men to write the scriptures over thousands of years. The Bible, tells Gods story of redemption for humanity, with the central figure being Jesus Christ.
Exodus 24:4, Psalm 119:11, Isaiah 36:16, Matthew 5:17-18, Romans 15:4, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21
We believe God created both male and female in His image. When man sinned in the garden, sin was introduced to the entire human race. We believe all men are now born with a sinful nature. We have all fallen short of God's glory and are all worthy of spending eternity in Hell separated from God. Our good works can not earn us a right standing with God. We are in need of a savior, in need of Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:26-30, Genesis 3, Jeremiah 17:5, Romans 3:10-18, Romans 5:19, Ephesians 2:1-22
We believe salvation is a work of God. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by our own works. The death of Jesus Christ satisfied the wrath of God and the gift of salvation is avaliable to all. We must put our hope and faith in Jesus alone to be saved.
Matthew 1:21, Romans 5:10, Romans 6:23, Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 1:7, Ephesians 2:8-22, Titus 2:11-14, Hebrews 2:1-3
We believe a person is saved the moment they understand who Jesus is and place their faith and trust in him. Upon that confession, the new believer should be baptized, following the example Jesus set for us. Baptism itself does not save you, it is an external act that proceeds from an internal heart change. Baptism is a public profession of faith where a believer demonstrates their obedience to Jesus. The believer is burried with Christ in baptism, and raised to walk in the newness of life.
Matthew 3:13-17, Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 1:9-11, Acts 2:41-42, Romans 6:3-5, Colossians 2:12
The Church is the body of Christ made up by believers here on Earth. The mission of the church can be summed up in these three things:
Christians should also be committed to a local body of believers in their own community, which they support, serve in, and live in fellowship with their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
Matthew 16:15-19,Matthew 28:16-20, Acts 13:1-3, Colossians 1:18, 1 Peter 5:1-4
After we are saved, we are dead to sin. Christians are not to walk in their old sinful ways but to be conformed to the perfect image of Christ. A believer will undergo progressive santification, which is an act of the Holy Spirit. The believers santification process will not be complete until we pass away from this Earth. Until we are glorified in Heaven, we are to wage war with sin here on Earth.
